2016 & 2018 MCRRC Summer Half Marathon Program Tech Shirts

The Program Director wanted a fun, active design for the Run 13.1 shirttail graphic. The graphic was created to represent forward movement toward the 13.1 mile goal. The letter “R” was designed to appear as though it is running toward the finish line. The descriptive words within the letters represent a runner’s experience on his/her amazing journey throughout the program.

We went with a thicker, stronger font for the 2018 version, so that the letters and numbers would stand out from the textured tech shirt material. The cleaner design improved the cohesive flow of the letters and numbers. They now appear as one solid unit working together to achieve a goal. The addition of the wind lines behind the “R” and the “1” created a more visual forward movement of the graphic.

2018 MCRRC Summer Half Marathon Program Car Magnet

The MCRRC Summer Half Marathon (SHM) Program Director and I worked together to design a Run 13.1 car magnet as an extra premium for the Summer Half members. The goal was to create a car magnet that would inspire others to pursue their running goals and join the SHM training program to achieve success. We used the Run 13.1 graphic from the 2018 tech shirt and changed the colors to the State of Maryland colors to target a broader client base throughout the community.
